A shoplifter who lied to police about her identity in an attempt to pervert the course of justice had sentence deferred for reports.
Kelly Stewart, 26, of Lordburn Place in Forfar, admitted that on May 16 at Asda, Milton of Craigie Road, she stole children’s clothing and toys.
She also admitted that, on the same date and at the same location, she pretended to be another woman when asked by two police officers, in an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
Sentence was deferred until August 13 for a criminal justice social work report and restriction of liberty order.
