A Dundee man who is on trial accused of rape has denied sexually assaulting teenagers he befriended – and described them as liars.
At the High Court in Livingston, Jordan Dunn, 20, who also calls himself Jo El-Haj, maintained all the women had consented every time they had sex with him.
Dunn, formerly of Auchinblae Place but currently on remand in Polmont Young Offenders’ Institution, denies raping three women at various locations in Dundee, Tayside and Fife over a two-year period between 2015 and 2017.
Speaking about the first complainer – a 16-year-old girl he met in Blairgowrie when he was 17 – Dunn denied they had sex against her wishes.
He told the jury: “It was just kind of one of those moments, two young people.”
He confirmed the girl’s version he had stayed at her home one night after he missed the last bus back to Dundee.
However, Dunn rejected her story he had raped her in the living room as her mother and stepfather slept upstairs.
He also dismissed her claims he raped her in the shower the next morning, and on other occasions on the living room rug and in an alleyway in the centre of Blairgowrie.
Dunn said he had met the second complainer, aged 19, at a house party in Methil, Fife and started a relationship with her right away.
He rejected her claims he forced her into having sex with him against her wishes on “more than 10” occasions.
He also denied throwing a mobile phone at her, hitting her on the head. He claimed he had thrown it onto the kerb while they were having an argument about him speaking to other girls.
Defence counsel Mark Stewart asked him: “At any point did you compel, force or take sexual intercourse from (her) without her consent?”
Dunn replied: “Absolutely not.”
He admitted he had also had unprotected sex with the third woman, a nursery assistant who worked near his rented flat in Swallowtail Court, Dundee.
He told the jury: “Afterwards we had a pizza and I got her a taxi home.”
Asked if he had sexual relations with her against her will he said: “No.”
Dunn was acquitted of raping a fourth young woman and committing a breach of the peace by threatening another after the prosecution withdrew the charges at the end of the Crown case.
The trial continues.
