A man has appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court after being charged with assaulting a woman in the city’s Seagate on Monday.
Marian Lupu, 32, of Church Street in Dundee, appeared on a petition before Sheriff Tom Hughes alleging that, on May 21 in Seagate, he assaulted the woman by seizing her by the neck.
Solicitor Nicola Brown made no plea on his behalf during his brief appearance before the sheriff and the case was continued for further examination.
Sheriff Hughes granted Lupu bail on the special condition that he does not approach or contact or attempt to approach or contact his alleged victim.
