It is understood the woman, in her 50s, was struck while out walking at around 8.30pm on Sunday evening. The Scottish Ambulance Service’s trauma team from Tayside attended the incident on a path near Northfield Farm. An ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call at 8.20pm on Sunday to attend an incident in Newport. “We dispatched one ambulance and our trauma team to the scene. “We transported one female to Ninewells Hospital.”
