The group behind celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Tay Road Bridge has secured vital funding to ensure the festivities go ahead.
The Tay Road Bridge Joint Board has now received a £9,400 Sharing Heritage grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
A one-day event to celebrate the 50th anniversary is being is organised for Sunday August 21, which will see the opening of an exhibition alongside a family event with vintage buses taking visitors across the bridge, a parade of vintage cars from the last 50 years and the chance to take a boat trip across the Tay following the route of the Fifies.
