Covid Broughty Ferry
The venue will close until Friday.

Two hospitality venues in Broughty Ferry have announced temporary closures after coronavirus cases were linked to them.

The Fort Hotel and Indos Restaurant have both announced they will close for a number of days.

Two cases have been linked to the Fort Hotel in Broughty Ferry, whilst a member of the kitchen staff at Indos on Brook Street tested positive for coronavirus.

Fort Hotel bosses said they had decided to close as a “precautionary measure” so staff can be tested and a deep clean can be carried out.

The venue will be shut for 48 to 72 hours, the hotel announced online.

In a customer update they said: “As a precautionary measure, in the interest of safety for all staff and customers, we have decided to close the hotel for 48 to 72 hours so that we can test all staff and do a deep clean.

“Unfortunately we have had a couple of positive cases linked to our premises. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused, we want to ensure we are all safe to continue working.

“We have followed all protocol and have had every bit of advice which was for us to remain open, however as a team we have made the decision to close.

“Once all the staff have been tested we can then confidently reopen with the knowledge that our staff and premises are Covid free.”
