A male was flown to hospital by air ambulance following a three-vehicle accident in Perthshire.
The A85 Perth to Crieff road was closed for a period after two cars collided with another vehicle carrying a trailer about a mile from Comrie Croft Hostel on Sunday.
Police confirmed the accident took place around 1pm.
A police spokesperson said: “An injured male casualty was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, by air ambulance following a three-vehicle accident on the A85.
“Two cars collided with another car that had been carrying a trailer.
“Officers closed the road to allow for the injured man to be treated by ambulance crew and also for the recovery of the vehicles.”
The police spokesperson described the man’s injuries as “serious” but said they are not believed to be life threatening.
The road re-opened around 3.30pm on Sunday.
