Craig Curran is Dundee’s major fitness doubt for their Friday night clash with Hibs at Dens Park.
The former Dundee United and Ross County striker played at Livingston last weekend but has been nursing a stomach problem since the draw with Kilmarnock a fortnight ago.
He hardly trained last week and has been missing again over the past few days.
“Craig is very sore, he didn’t train all last week because of a stomach thing,” said boss Jim McIntyre.
“He’s going to require a few days to get over it.”
If it’s a case of wait and see with Curran, Jim is confident both Andrew Nelson and Andreas Hadenius will make it.
Nelson had to come off after netting the equaliser at Livi when he aggrevated ankle and calf problems as he celebrated his goal.
And Swede Hadenius was replaced early in the second half at the weekend after picking up a knock.
Both, though, have responded to treatment and are expected to be fit for Friday.
With four goals since his arrival from Sunderland last month, 21-year-old Nelson is the man of the moment at Dens.
While the manager stresses the young attacker remains a work in progress, he’s been delighted with his performances so far.
“Nelson is a goalscorer and I thought his finish at the weekend was excellent,” Jim added.
“It looked as if he was stretching but he’s managed to generate it into the corner.
“As I’ve said before, he is raw. He still needs a lot of work, working with a partner and when to link and stuff but I’m delighted with his goals contribution so far.”
