Gregor Townsend will replace Vern Cotter as Scotland head coach next June, it has been announced. Glasgow Warriors head coach Townsend (43) previously worked with Scotland as part of Andy Robinson’s backroom staff. The former Scotland fly-half, who was a British and Irish Lions series winner as a player, won the Pro12 with Warriors in 2015. He has made a name for himself as an attack-minded coach. New Zealander Cotter has been in charge of the Scots since 2014 and led them to the World Cup quarter-finals last year. More to follow.
