An auction sale which reflects Perth’s history through antiques and collectibles has gone on view.
The Perth 800 sale has been set up as part of the year-long celebrations of the anniversary of the granting of a royal burgh charter in 1210.
Lindsay Burns auctioneers have drawn together a sale for July 1 in their King Street premises featuring works of art, ceramics, banknotes, militaria, whisky, silver, books and paintings which all have a strong Perth or Perthshire connection.
Also well represented in the sale are Monart and Vasart glassware and paperweights, which were made in Perth.
“It is a unique sale it has never been done before,” said Nick Burns.
“The sale has only just gone on view and there has been a lot of interest.”
The auction is on view to the public again today until 7pm and tomorrow from 9am to 5pm, prior to the sale on Thursday at 10.30am.
