An affordable art appeal to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust has been launched by an Auchterarder artist.
Margaret Evans, who owns and runs Shinafoot Studios, has chosen 12 pieces of work representing her painting year, which will be sold online, with 50% of the proceeds going to the charity.
She said, “There is a market for making ex-gallery and demonstration pieces accessible to a wider public, and this is an ideal opportunity to buy my work at a greatly reduced price while supporting a most worthy cause.
“Shipping is free wherever in the world you are.”
Money raised goes towards building modern units in NHS hospitals which are designed especially for young people.
The units are bright and vibrant and include things like pool tables and computers to help the young patients cope with gruelling treatment and long stays in hospital.
By focusing on quality of life, Teenage Cancer Trust units can change a young person’s outlook and give them the “fight” they need to beat cancer.
