FACEBOOK HAS banned the creator of an advert which suggested that Lorraine Kelly shed two stone using diet pills.
An image of the celebrity appeared on the site alongside a link to another site selling weight-loss supplements.
The advert, which has now been removed, said: “Lose two stone in four weeks? By following these two all natural tips, she lost two stone in four weeks.”
Ms Kelly took to Twitter to warn that her lawyers were looking into it.
The Courier contacted Facebook on Tuesday and a spokeswoman confirmed yesterday that they have received a complaint.
She added: “The Ads Policy Enforcement team has located this advert and advertiser and has now permanently disabled the account from the Facebook Ad Platform because it violated Facebook’s ad guidelines.”
