Dundee bus bosses have been likened to the Mr Men and the Fintry area branded a Bermuda Triangle in a bizarre poster campaign.
Frustrated residents acted amid claims Xplore Dundee services rarely run on time in the area and regularly go missing, leaving passengers stranded for hours at a time.
That led to a series of posters being plastered on bus shelters the length of Fintry Drive.
While they were quickly taken down, residents had already captured images of them, which they have shared on social media.
One poster read: “The Fintry bus was late again. This company is run by the Mr Men”.
Another shows a picture of a convict behind bars and reads: “If the bus being late was a crime, Xplore Dundee would be doing hard time.”
The final poster took the form of a missing person appeal and reads: “Missing. The Fintry bus.
“Last seen over three hours ago on Fintry Drive. Is known to disappear quite often”.
It added the Fintry bus “answers to the name of ‘unreliable’” and urged anyone with information to contact “the Mr Men that run the company’.”
Despite the tongue-in-cheek nature of the posters, Xplore Dundee said it took the matter seriously, with a spokesperson accepting that there were flaws in the Fintry service.
The spokesperson said: “We are working hard to address the problems that are affecting our services.
“We have reviewed the timetable and are monitoring the situation so we can offer the best possible service to Fintry residents.”
