Angus woman accused of robbing pensioner to stand trial

The trial of an Angus woman who faces charges of robbing a pensioner after offering him sexual services is due to begin.

Louise McDougall, from Montrose, who will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court, is also accused of stamping on the 89-year-old’s leg, brandishing a knife at him and permanently disfiguring him by hitting him on the head and back with a “fireside implement”.

McDougall, of Mount Avenue, is also alleged to have falsely accused the OAP of raping and sexually assaulting her, in an attempt to pervert the course of justice.

At the man’s flat and at Arbroath and Dundee police stations, McDougall is accused of calling 999 and making the false rape allegation; and claiming that she had assaulted the pensioner in self-defence, with intent to evade arrest and prosecution.

McDougall is accused of falsely implicating the elderly man, the truth being that she was not the victim of rape or sexual assault.

The 25-year-old denies all charges relating to the alleged offences on December 29 2013.
