An Angus man will be sentenced next month after admitting assaulting a man and threatening his ex-partner.
David Scorgie, 46, of Barry Road, Carnoustie, appeared before Sheriff Pino Di Emidio at Forfar where he admitted an indictment alleging that he behaved in an abusive and threatening manner towards the woman on December 22 last year, and assaulting a man by repeatedly punching him and striking him with a metal bar, to his injury.
Scorgie also pleaded guilty to making threats and brandishing a knife on the same date, and breaching bail.
The case was continued until May 21 for a criminal justice report to be obtained and an agreed narration of the circumstances to be prepared for the court.
Sheriff Simon Collins told Scorgie: “The nature of these charges is of considerable seriousness on the face of it.”
