Arbroath Infirmary’s Inchcape unit has been closed to new admissions after a number of patients were hit with an outbreak of flu.
NHS Tayside said that patients in the unit are being monitored and appropriate infection control measures are in place.
Visitors are being asked to stay away and to wash or gel their hands as usual.
A statement on the NHS Tayside website said: “Inchcape Unit at Arbroath Infimary is currently closed to new admissions due to a small number of patients who have flu like symptoms.”
“To help minimise the spread of infection, please do not visit friends or family members in hospital if you are feeling unwell.”
