Firefighters were called to extinguish a blaze which broke out in a first-floor flat in Dundee.
Three crews took around 20 minutes to deal with the fire in Hebrides Drive, which started just after 6am.
Firefighters from Kingsway and Macalpine Road attended and used breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel jet.
It is understood the male occupant was taken to Ninewells Hospital suffering from burns to his hands, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
