“I am absolutely delighted to have signed up to write my new book with BBC Books and Penguion Random House, “said Bob.
“As someone who is an unquestionable star of the BBC and often wakes up at a random house, this feels like a suitable home.
“I am, however, slightly perturned to hear Ask Bob being described as a humour book. It is a highly serious guide for Britain’s punters through life’s pitfalls. From sex to friendship, money to famy , health issus to the best way to tell a fellow bus passenger you ‘re attracted to them (Morse code blinking), Ask Bob will have the answers.”
Created by Broughty Ferry writer Neil Forsyth, Bob Servant was played by Brian Cox on TV and radio.
The writer will take part in two question and answer sessions to promote the book, alongside Scottish comedian and actor Jonathan Watson, who plays Frank in the Bob Servant TV series.
The events will take place in Edinburgh on October 9 and Broughty Ferry the following day.
