New sculpture exhibition opens at Dundee University
ByThe Courier Reporter
A visually stunning new exhibition at Dundee University features highlights from an extensive sculpture collection, including many pieces by former students at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD).
“Sculptural” includes free-standing and wall-based constructions as well as preparatory drawings, sketch-books and photographic documentation of sculptures that no longer exist.
Among the former students of DJCAD included in the exhibition is David Mach, now famous internationally for his large-scale sculptures like the `Big Heids’ on the M8.
“Sculptural” can be seen by visitors in the Lamb Gallery of the University’s Tower Building until May 7.
