A man is to stand trial accused of ransacking a Dundee mosque.
Donald Skene, 38, was yesterday accused of bursting in to the Masjid Tajdare Madina mosque in Victoria Road. It is alleged he “conducted himself in a disorderly manner” by acting aggressively, shouting and swearing and repeatedly struggling with members of the congregation there on December 11.
Prosecutors say he then repeatedly punched and smashed the glass of framed prayers on walls.
Skene, of Soapwork Lane, Dundee, made no plea or declaration, was fully committed and held in custody ahead of more court dates being set.
