Help is being offered to Freeview viewers in Fife whose service is disrupted by new mobile phone masts.
4G services in Glenrothes, Dunfermline, Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy will allow access to faster mobile broadband but could interfere with Freeview televisions and set-top boxes.
Free assistance is to be given to those affected as 4G at 800Mhz goes live.
Not-for-profit company at800 has been set up and funded by mobile operators to ensure people can continue watching Freeview channels or an alternative.
Chief executive officer of at800, Ben Roome, said: “New 4G mobile masts are bringing mobile broadband to Dundee, Glenrothes, Dunfermline, Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy but they do have the potential to disrupt TV reception for some households. We’re already helping viewers in the area and continue to offer support.”
Viewers who experience problems can visit at800.tv or call 0333 3131800 or 0808 1313800.
