Young children are being put in danger because of “loutish” behaviour in a Fife playpark. Broken glass has been found strewn under a climbing frame and even on the slide at Toll Park in Buckhaven. One mother told how she had been forced to remove glass from the ground on at least three occasions before her son could play. She has blamed people drinking alcohol in the park at night for the problem, which she described as ridiculous. “A young child is going to end up hurt because of this, especially in the summer when the kids are wearing shorts. “If they land on glass with their bare legs it could be nasty. “Bits of broken bottle are just being left lying around and me and some other mums have had to clear it up.” Councillor Tom Adams, chair of Levenmouth area committee, inspected a number of playparks in the Levenmouth area following complaints. He warned parents to be vigilant and added: “I’ve had complaints about this loutish behaviour and it has to stop.”
