A 28-year-old Leven man who left a 24-year-old man permanently disfigured after assaulting him in the street has been jailed.
At Glasgow High Court on Tuesday 11 August Steven Strang pleaded guilty to assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and endangerment to life in Dewar Drive in Leven on April 16 of this year.
Strangwas subsequently sentenced tofiveyears and three months in prison.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Dursley, who led the investigation, said: “We welcome this sentence and hope this sends a clear message that violent behaviour will not be tolerated.
