The death of a 52-year old twin in Burntisland is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.
The man named locally as Stuart Graham was found dead at the property in Rossend Terrace late last Tuesday night.
The Courier understands he shared the property with his twin brother.
A resident of Burntisland told The Courier there had been a police presence in the area including forensics officers for several days.
The resident said there had been wild rumours circulating of a murder.
Confirming that the death was not a murder and appeared to be medically-related, a spokesman for Police Scotland told The Courier officers had been alerted to the discovery of a 52-year-old man’s body in the property at Rossend Terrace last Tuesday at 11.30pm.
Officers had attended, investigated and a post mortem had been carried out.
As a result, the spokesman said, the death was not being treated as criminal.
