Graeme Obree is encouraging people to get peddling for charity at Knockhill later this month.
The Flying Scotsman said: “This is such a worthwhile cause and any extra sponsorship raised will go a long way to helping improve the lives of people who have learning disabilities and their families in Scotland.
“The fundraising team at Enable Scotland are very supportive and will help participants in any way they can to achieve a realistic target.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take part again this year due to a conflicting schedule, but I am thrilled to be supporting Enable Scotland and wish them and all the cyclists the best for the big day.”
Taking place over 24 hours, the cycle challenge will see solo riders and teams of between two and six participants take on Knockhill on Friday August 28.
