It was once the largest medieval cathedral in Scotland and today the impressive ruins can only hint at the vast grandeur of how it once was.
But a remarkable project is bringing history to life and offering the chance to explore St Andrews Cathedral as it was 700 years ago.
Computer scientists at St Andrews University are involved in Virtual Histories, a project creating historic scenes in partnership with local communities.
On Sunday the learning loft of the Museum of the University of St Andrews (MUSA) will become a gateway enabling to explore Scotland’s past.
Visitors to the museum will be able to have some fun exploring immersive digital 3D reconstruction of the cathedral, and other historic and archaeological sites in Scotland.
