The funeral of a mum-of-two murdered by her bodybuilder ex-boyfriend before he committed suicide will take place next week.
Jennifer Rennie, 26, was killed by Scott Simpson, 41, while their two young children Violet, five and one-year-old Logan slept.
Ms Rennie, who worked in a local garden centre, was found dead in her home in Rosyth on March 11 after a neighbour raised the alarm.
Her former partner’s body was discovered by police in his home in Letham Way, Dalgety Bay, where the family had lived together until a fortnight before the incident.
A funeral service will be held for Jennifer at the Glen Pavilion, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, at 10.30am next Monday before progressing to Hillend Cemetery at 11.30am.
It is not known what is to happen to Simpson’s body.
Simpson, a builder, had been together with Ms Rennie for six years until they separated.
Ms Rennie’s family have described the Dobbies Dalgety Bay employee as a “loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend”.
They added: “She was a friend to everyone and will be sorely missed. We are all devastated by what has happened.”
A neighbour called 999 to report Ms Rennie’s death at 7.45am on Monday March 11 hours after reports of a disturbance in the ground floor flat on Findlay Street, Rosyth.
