Teenager convicted of raping girl in Fife

A teenager has been convicted of raping a girl.

Gary Feeney (17) assaulted the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in Fife in April 2011.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard Feeney, who has no previous convictions, carried out the attack when he was 15.

Feeney, of Mayflower Street, Dunfermline, pleaded guilty to a single charge of rape before judge Lord Burns.

He will be sentenced on March 7.
