Standard Grade pass rate near perfect across Perth and Kinross

The exam results in Perth and Kinross have revealed a staggering near-perfect pass rate for Standard Grades.

“This year, pupils in Perth and Kinross were awarded almost 8,500 Standard Grades, achieving an impressive 99% pass rate,” said a council spokesperson.

“Once again, almost all Perth and Kinross pupils achieved five or more awards at Access 3/Standard Grade Foundation by the end of S4, and most achieved five or more awards at Standard Grade General or Intermediate 1.

“This year at Higher Grade, pupils in Perth and Kinross were awarded 3,270 passes, of which 1,063 were at grade A.”

The local authority spokesperson said that 562 pupils achieved at least one Higher at grade A in this year’s diet, with 34 S5 pupils achieving five or more Highers at grade A and 11 S6 pupils achieving three or more Advanced Highers at grade A.

“This means that more than one in four pupils in Perth and Kinross left school with at least one Advanced Higher. A more detailed analysis will now be undertaken but overall the picture is a positive one.”
