‘Human’ side of Hercules the Bear revealed in TV documentary

The story of a bear who lived in a Perthshire glen and grabbed international headlines is to be re-told in a television documentary.

Hercules the Human Bear tells the story of Andy and Maggie Robin and their relationship with a grizzly bear which lived with them for 25 years.

Hercules grew to be a star on the celebrity circuit and through the love and devotion of the couple, in their eyes, became human.

David Sumnall, director said: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime story.”

Hercules the Human Bear will be shown on Channel Five on April 1, at 8pm.
