A woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a Perth and Kinross Council vehicle in Perth.
Emergency services rushed to Atholl Streetfollowing the incident, which occurred shortly before 4.20pm on Wednesday.
It is unclear whether the 35-year-old was on the pavement or the road when she was struck by the flatbed lorry near the junction at St Ninian’s Cathedral.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
The street was closed for a time to allow police to carry out investigations into the incident, withtraffic being diverted away from the area.
A Perth and Kinross Council spokeswoman said they would be investigating the incident.
“We can confirm that there was an incidentinvolving a Perth &Kinross Council vehicle and a pedestrian on Atholl Street, Perth, today,” she said.
“The police are carrying out an investigation and it is not appropriate for us to comment further until this is completed.
“We will also carry out an internal investigation into this incident.”
