MacMillan Cycletta on track to welcome hundreds of women

The Perthshire stage of Macmillan Cycletta is on track to have hundreds of women taking part.
Scone Palace will once again host the event, which takes place on Sunday July 19.
Almost 5,000 women across the UK took part in Macmillan Cycletta last year.
The event is open to women of all ages and abilities. It includes distances from 20km to 150km to ensure cycling participation is accessible for women regardless of their experience and abilities.
In addition, a Scootathlon will take place on the same day.
It is a mini fun triathlon for children aged four to eight in which they scoot, bike and run.
Gillian Daly, senior public relations manager at Macmillan Cycletta, said: “The Scottish event is always fantastic, with more and more ladies signing up to take part each year.
“There are many reasons why women should get out on their bikes whether it’s to keep fit, socialise or to raise money for a good cause like Macmillan Cancer Support.”
