Police name Dunfermline man killed in Blair Atholl collision

A man who died in a collision between a car and lorry on the A9 has been named by police.
Anthony Gardner, who was from Dunfermline, suffered fatal injuries in the collision, which happened near Blair Atholl at 2.30am on Thursday.
The 34-year-old’s family said he would be “greatly missed”.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Mr Gardner’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed.
“Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The crash, which involved a Chivas Regal lorry carrying 3,000 gallons of whisky, closed the A9 for several hours.
