Firefighters battled a massive barn blaze on the outskirts of Dundee on Friday. The fire at the Binns farm, just outside Fowlis, started at around 7.20pm and rising smoke and flames could be seen from many miles. The fire continued through the night and, although no people or animals were hurt, it is thought around £300,000 worth of damage could have been caused in the blaze. Fire chiefs paid tribute to crews who fought the flames for hours.
