Scottish Secretary backs Alyth firm’s role in classic car tours

Efforts to showcase Scotland as a premier destination for classic car owners have been welcomed.
Secretary of State Michael Moore has given his backing to a venture that could boost tourism.
Following the success of its inaugural event last year, when 30 vintage motors tackled a specially-planned route across the country, the Cognoscenti has launched year-round trips.
The initiative has been backed by Classic Restorations in Alyth, widely recognised as the leading experts in vintage cars, which will provide technical support on tours.
Mr Moore was in Perthshire to meet the talented workforce, before enjoying a short drive in a 1922 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.
He said: “Our scenery and spectacular driving routes are the envy of the world. They are accessible to everyone.”
