THE FIRST season of winter walks across the Rannoch area has been announced.
Loch Rannoch Conservation Association and Rannoch and Tummel Tourism Association have launched the Winter Walks programme.
From Monday, there will be a series of guided walks for residents and visitors to the region.
Running for four weeks, they will be led by local volunteers, who will share their knowledge of the area’s nature and history.
The Village Treasure Trail will also be launched on Monday, featuring a set of directions and questions to be answered as participants are guided around the village and along its new paths.
More details can be found at rannochandtummel.co.uk. Booking is required.
A spokesperson for the group said: “There is no cost for the walks, however any donations will be put to our local paths project.
“We recently received funding to upgrade the hillside path between the Alt Mor waterfall and the loch side, and construct a new off road path between the Highland Club and the medical centre.”
