Police probe suspicious death at Aberdeenshire takeaway

Police are investigating a man’s death after a disturbance at an Indian takeaway.
Officers were called to reports of a person collapsing at a food outlet in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, on Monday evening.
The man was pronounced dead at the shop, which has been named in reports as Mirchi Tandoori.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At 5.35pm on Monday, police and ambulance attended at commercial premises in Mintlaw to a report of a man having collapsed following a disturbance.
“Sadly the man could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Police Scotland are treating the death as suspicious and have launched an inquiry into the circumstances. Inquiries are at an early stage.”
