18/01/14 SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP
COWDENBEATH V FALKIRK (0-2)
CENTRAL PARK - COWDENBEATH
Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl heads for the dressing room after watching his defeated by Falkirk.
Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl is starting planning his line-ups for the run up to Christmas and the New Year to help cope with the absence of Marcus Fraser and Declan Hughes.
Defender Fraser is on an emergency loan from Celtic and Hughes is on a similar deal from St Mirren and both players return to their parent clubs in the middle of next month ahead of the transfer window opening in January.
Nicholl said: “The loan deals for both players expire in mid-December and I have started having to work on teams that I can field in the last few games of the year. Marcus has become a fixture in our defence and Declan is making his way back into things after picking up a knock in his first couple of games.
“We cannot do anything about bringing them back until January so I have to hope that John Armstrong, Kenny Adamson and Dean Brett who have been out injured recently are available when Marcus and Declan go back.”
