The curse of the innocuous injury has struck Julen Etxabeguren again, with the Dundee defender set to miss several weeks of action.
The former East Fife man had previously been sidelined for over a month as a result of a detached retina.
And now manager Paul Hartley has revealed that the shoulder injury sustained at Celtic Park last midweek has turned out to be more serious than they had first feared.
“He’s going to be out for a wee while,” Hartley said.
“The ligament in his shoulder isn’t looking very good.
“He’s another centre-half that we’ve got missing again.
“I think he’ll be out for a number of weeks.
“We don’t think it will need surgery but it will need rest.
“He’s been so unfortunate. It’s been the strangest injuries first it was his eye and now his shoulder.
“He was very good against Celtic and Inverness but we’ll have to cope without him again.”
