Dundee United have tabled a second bid for Airdrie goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson.
The Tangerines approached the Diamonds with an offer for their 18-year-old prospect before the sides clashed in the William Hill Scottish Cup on Saturday.
That first bid was rejected by the Lanarkshire club but now United have returned with an improved second offer, obviously impressed by Ferguson’s excellent performance against them.
Meanwhile, SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan officer is to investigate crowd disruption at the cup-tie at the Excelsior Stadium.
A number of away fans were seen to enter the field following Blair Spittal’s late winner for Mixu Paatelainen’s team.
An SFA spokeswoman said: “The compliance officer has been made aware of the crowd issue at the Airdrie v Dundee United match.
“He will now seek to gather evidence.
“If any rule has been breached both clubs will be contacted.”
