Fife Flyers playcaller Todd Dutiaume last night sent a defiant message to the club’s fans.
The Canadian, who coached the club into the play-off final four for the first time last season, said: “We can turn this around.”
This is a disappointing run which has seen Flyers lose nine of their last 11 games.
High points have come with a penalty shot success at Edinburgh Capitals and a 5-1 victory at Nottingham Panthers last Saturday.
Dutiaume admitted that he hears the “cat calls” from the stands while he is standing on the bench.
He revealed it can be a lonely place when the team is not winning.
But his Christmas message to the fans is there is hope, particularly when he gets a full import quota back on the ice after injury.
Dutiaume still believes the Kirkcaldy club can make the end-of-season play-offs.
Fife are seventh in the 10-team table with 22 points.
He told Flyers TV: “We seem to be making our own bad luck right now and if we need people we will bring them in.”
