Police have appealed for witnesses after a 28-year-old woman was assaulted in a Dundee street.
The incident, which left the victim “alarmed” but unhurt according to police, happened in Buttars Loan, near the junction with Buttars Road, at around 10.40pm on Tuesday.
The man responsible is described as being in his early 20s, of slim build with a pale, ‘spotty’ complexion.
He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers at the time of the incident.
Officers investigating the case say the man approached the woman from behind and assaulted her, before the pair were involved in a short struggle and the man ran off along Buttars Road.
It understood that there were cars in the area shortly after the crime and police are keen to speak to any motorists who may have seen any suspicious activity or the man running along Buttars Road.
Officers are particularly interested in tracing a dog walker who was in the area at the time who may have important information that could assist officers with their enquiries.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
