A new series of bite size workshops are being launched in Angus to inspire any budding entrepreneurs in the area to turn their idea into a business.

Organised by Business Gateway, the programme of weekly events has been specially designed to give anyone thinking about starting their own business, the confidence and insider knowledge to make it a success.

The Inspiring Enterprise course will run for eight weeks, beginning on Wednesday, April 20 and is free to attend.

Held in Careers Scotland, 61 Marketgate, Arbroath, the workshops will run from 6pm to 8pm and are aimed at giving those with a desire to set up on their own the extra push they need to get started.

Each week attendees will gain a valuable insight into the key start up concepts such as business planning, finance and marketing.

The course will also cover other important elements of running a company, including self-management, personal effectiveness, creativity and problem solving. The workshops will be hosted by Tina McGregor of TCM Solutions, a training consultancy and Donna Williamson of Business Gateway, both of whom will share their knowledge and expert tips on how to successfully start up and run a business.

Lorna Ritch, Operations Manager, Business Gateway said, “There are many people in Angus who want to start a business but perhaps feel daunted by the process or don’t know exactly what type of business to start.

“This eight week course is designed to show people in the area that there are opportunities out there regardless of your situation.”

The course will increase confidence and will demonstrate different approaches to conceiving viable business opportunities.

“At Business Gateway we provide a constant support for local people in Angus whether it is through our one-to-one advice or free events such as this course. We hope that this event will unlock some entrepreneurial spirit and generate some exciting new business opportunities.”To book, call Kasia Park on 01382 443 400 or email katarzyna.park@enetrust.com.
