A new initiative has taken the golfing heritage of Angus and Scotland to the top end of the lucrative Chinese market.
Nanjing province’s Zhongshan International golf resort has been chosen as the first location for a Simpsons heritage lounge.
Simpsons is a mecca for golf fans and owner Dave Valentine has developed the new partnership with Zhongshan International and Pro Simon, one of China’s most successful independent golf wear brands and e-commerce golf channels
He said: “This is our first major step in bringing Simpsons to China and telling the story of the Simpson family’s role in the development of world golf.
A Simpsons wall of fame will also chart the achievements of Robert Simpson and his brothers Archie, Jack and David, who became famous during the Opens between 1883 and 1902.
