A full-scale emergency response was scrambled on Friday evening following a two-car accident on Dundee’s Perth Road.
One casualty was taken to hospital with what police described as “injuries which are not life-threatening” following the crash which left both cars extensively damaged.
Police, fire appliances and ambulances were all in attendance at the incident which happened near to the junction with Invergowrie Drive.
The accident happened around 5.20pm and the road was closed while fire crews cut the roof off one of the cars to free those who were trapped inside.
Police then directed traffic while recovery trucks removed the damaged vehicles.
Emergency services eventually left the scene around 7.30pm.
