A Perth city centre pub will be able to play live music for the first time in nearly a decade after it had its licence revoked in 2011.
The Malt House on Princes Street was banned from playing music nine years ago over noise complaints and public nuisance orders.
This decision was reversed by the licensing board last week, with councillors saying they were putting their trust in new manager Raymond Innis, who has run the bar for three years without complaints.
Harry Dunn, agent for the pub, said: “The music before was live bands several times a week. What we’re proposing is something entirely different.
“What we’re asking for is acoustic players and singers.”
