A man was pulled from the River Tay by firefighters in an early morning rescue effort.
Emergency services were called to the Queen’s Bridge in Perth just before 6.20am after reports someone had plunged into the water.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s specialist water rescue team attended and pulled a man in his forties from the Tay.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We received a call from a member of the public and attended the incident in Perth along with other emergency services.
A male in his forties was pulled from the water and is now safe and well with police officers.”
