A 13-year-old girl has died and at least 12 others have been injured after a driver “intentionally” rammed his car into a crowded pizza restaurant near Paris.
The tragedy unfolded last night at the busy Pizza Cesena in Sept-Sorts, about 40 miles east of the capital.

Local police said a suspect was
arrested shortly afterwards.
Witnesses said a dark BMW ploughed into the terrace of the restaurant where families were eating.
Among those hurt was the girl’s younger brother. He was said to have been left with life-threatening injuries.
The public prosecutor’s office in the town of Meaux said that investigators believe the act was deliberate, but “apparently has no connection with a terrorist act”.
A spokesman for the French Interior Ministry said first indications were it was not terror related and said the male driver was believed to have been suicidal.
