TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has returned home as she continues her recuperation from a serious horse riding accident.
The Broughty Ferry-based LK Today host is said to be doing well after undergoing surgery in London following the incident last month.
The 52-year-old had been learning how to ride a horse ahead of a challenge for Sarah Brown’s charity PiggyBankKids.
But during what was only her second lesson she fell from the saddle approaching a jump. The animal then stamped on her thigh, causing her to lose a lot of blood.
After a long absence from her Twitter account, Lorraine posted: ”Finally back home and getting stronger every day. Thanks again for all your good wishes.”
The Glasgow-born star has been absent from her morning show since the fall and will not return this week, according to her representatives.
A return to the small screen is expected to be discussed next week.
