A brave Perth volunteer staged an unusual bid to raise funds for charity as she plunged into a bath full of baked beans.
And as if the discomfort of sitting in a bath of beans was not enough, Evelyn Birnie (50) made a public spectacle of herself by enduring her challenge in the window of the Red Cross shop in the town’s Kinnoul Street.
The four-hour stunt was organised to raise additional cash for Red Cross Week, the organisation’s annual UK-wide fund-raising drive.
